Here is our Zoom meeting link:
Meeting ID: 727 0392 2858
Meetings are daily from 11 am to approximately 11:40 am.
Today is Wednesday, July 15
The resources for today are posted below.
Today we explored the Grand Canyon! Watch this video from National Geographic to see beautiful images of the canyon and some of the animals that live there!
Questions to ask:
What animals do you see?
What are they doing?
Do any of those animals live near your home?
Try drawing or painting a picture of one of the animals you saw in the video and label the picture with the animal's name (if your child is ready for this step).
Try moving your body like some of the animals in the video.
Today we explored Arches National Park!
What shapes do you see in the rocks? What do the shapes remind you of?
Can you draw or paint some arches on paper or make big arches in the air with your arms?
The Grand Canyon and Arches National Park are both Desert habitats!
Watch this video to explore NatGeo Kid's website on deserts with Ms. Julia and hear her read to you or visit this link to explore and read on your own!
We All Go Traveling By (sing-along book)
How do people travel? How can people travel through water? On a road? In the sky? What is your favorite way to travel?

In this craft, your child can learn to recognize the difference between masses of land and water on a map. Once you are done with your craft you can compare it to a globe or map of the world and have your child point to land and water on the map, or to specific continents if they are ready for that step.
Movement Activity: Rock Hopping/Floor is Lava

The craft for today is a Desert Cactus.
Watch the video below to see Ms. Claire demonstrate today's craft. There are two videos, one for younger students and one for older students. Please only watch the video assigned to you because it makes use of the materials in your specific Mystery Box.
