Welcome to Marine Biology Week!
We're so excited to dive into exploring the ocean with you this week. We will be using this platform to post extra resources each day for you and your child to explore. This includes videos, songs, crafts, learning activities, and websites. Please keep checking back to see what is available, as we will not be sending updates via email. Use your discretion to decide if your child will need help reading or accessing any of these materials.

Meeting ID: 712 9626 8457
Today is Thursday, July 9, 2020.
The resources for today are posted below.
Today you will work on your animal research! Choose an ocean animal and learn all about it. Where does it live? What does it eat? How does it stay safe?
Create a picture, painting, or sculpture of your animal and be ready to share about it on Friday!
Dive into a coral reef with marine biologist Sam! What lives in the Coral Reef?
Dive in with Sam again! This time, she is searching for sharks!
Swim like a sea turtle through Great Barrier Reef!
Use these websites with a grownup to help you learn about your sea animal!
Animal Fact Guide: The bottlenose dolphin, the common octopus, the great white shark, the green sea turtle, the killer whale, and the narwhal are all marine animals!
Oceana Marine Life Encyclopedia: Click on the pictures to choose your animal and learn fun facts about it! A grown-up can help you read or you can watch a video.
First, click habitat. Then choose aquatic.
Extra Craft: Create a fish with a recycled cardboard tube!
Today's craft is your personal animal research project!
Choose an animal and learn about where it lives, what it eats, and how it protects itself. Create an image of your animal with paint, paper, or any other materials and share it with us on Friday!
If you liked today's read-aloud, Swimmy, and want to read it again later, here are the pages.
If you have not set up your sensory bin yet, you can go back and watch Ms. Claire's video on Monday's blog post to see how to do it.
